Types of raised floors based on application

Another classification that has been proposed regarding access floors is based on the purpose of its implementation, and according to this issue, it has been divided into the following categories.

Floors for covering facilities

The ability to withstand one hour in fire conditions without spilling and without creating smoke and toxic and suffocating gases
Ability to withstand concentrated dynamic loads and misalignment of about one ton per tile
Ability to withstand static loads at least with the design factor
Anti-static suitable for computer centers

Floors for transporting surface water, soil and sand

  • Important properties of special floors for transferring surface water, soil and sand
  • Resistant to open space conditions and can be installed on cement surfaces
  • Resistant to radiation and material fatigue
  • High resistance to acid, alkali and moisture

Special floors for installing floor heating and reducing humidity

  • Their surface is generally made of materials such as parquet, ceramic, laminate and cork flooring.
  • They are connected to each other in the form of bolts.
  • They are sound insulated to a good extent.
  • They have good resistance against moisture and household detergents.
  • They are resistant to vermin.
  • They are generally used in wooden and prefabricated houses.
